Below is a listing of state-based scholarship and grant opportunities. For state college-based financial aid, contact the financial aid offices for the college or university you are interested in attending.

State Need-Based Financial AidOklahoma Tuition Aid Grant Program - Awards grants to Oklahoma students who need money to meet part of the cost of attending college. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Oklahoma Tuition Equalization Grant Program - Awards grants to Oklahoma residents enrolled as full-time undergraduates at Oklahoma not-for-profit, private or independent institutions of higher education. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
State Scholarship ProgramsAcademic Scholars Program - Awards scholarships to students with high academic performance who plan to attend an Oklahoma public or private college or university.
Oklahoma's Promise - Awards scholarships to students in families earning less than $50,000 per year at the time of application and who have demonstrated a commitment to academic success in high school. Additional income restrictions apply when the student begins college. Students who plan to participate in this scholarship program must enroll in the program during the eighth, ninth or 10th grade.
Regional University Baccalaureate Scholarship - Awards scholarships based on academic merit to Oklahoma residents who plan to attend an Oklahoma regional university.
Robert C. Byrd Scholarship Program - Awards scholarships to Oklahoma students who plan to attend an Oklahoma college or university based on their potential for continued academic excellence and achievement.
Specialized Financial AidFuture Teachers Scholarship Program - Awards scholarships to outstanding Oklahoma students who want to teach in the areas of special education, science, and early childhood education.
George and Donna Nigh Public Service Scholarship - Awards scholarships to outstanding students who are preparing for careers in public service.
Heartland Scholarship Fund - Awards scholarships to dependent children of victims of the April 19, 1995, bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. These awards cover the cost of tuition, fees, special fees, books, and room and board.
Independent Living Act (Foster Care Tuition Waiver) - Awards tuition waivers to eligible individuals who have been or are in the Oklahoma Department of Human Services foster care program.
National Guard Tuition Waiver - Awards scholarships to national guard members and enlistees who want to earn a bachelor's degree at an Oklahoma public college or university.
Oklahoma Teacher Enhancement Program - Awards stipends to resident teachers who participate in a study designed to evaluate teacher preparation programs at Oklahoma's public universities.
Scholars for Excellence in Child Care - Ensures that eligible child care professionals in the state of Oklahoma have an opportunity to attend a two-year college to further their education while earning a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, Certificate of Mastery, and/or an associate degree in child development or early childhood education.
SREB Academic Common Market - An arrangement among Southern states allowing students to pay in-state tuition rates at a non-Oklahoma college or university while studying in select programs not available at Oklahoma public institutions.
Teacher Shortage Employment Incentive Program (TSEIP) - TSEIP is a legislative program that reimburses eligible student loan expenses or pays an equivalent cash benefit to individuals who graduate from an Oklahoma accredited teacher education program, receive teaching certification in math or science and agree to teach in an Oklahoma public secondary school for at least five years.
